Owner/ Senior Barber

I grew up in Southern California and came to Alabama for college at UNA where I earned my bachelors degree in finance. During my time in Florence, I started cutting hair for friends and soon began training and working for Greasy Hands Barbershop.

After a short stint at GH in Tuscaloosa, I moved to Birmingham and cut hair at another barbershop in town until I was eligible for shop ownership.

I’ve always had the desire to work and live within the same community. When my wife, Abigail, and I bought a home in downtown Birmingham, I knew it was time for me to bring that desire to reality.

I am partnered with Austin Shirey, the Owner of Greasy Hands and we have created Zephyr Barber to be a modern twist to classic barbering. Our focus is in precision haircutting and proficient beard work. I am passionate about growing my skillset and offering versatility from behind the chair.

No matter who you are or what your background is, my goal is for you to feel welcome and seen here at Zephyr.

Jordan is a true master of his craft. His haircutting skills speak for themselves but what makes him truly DIFFERENT is his desire for any person in his chair to be seen, known and accepted. He’s constantly learning and constantly curious in everything he does. He’s a nerd. He’s a dad. He’s a killer friend.

Gentleness & Calmness is what our shop is about. Maria embodies that to a T. She’s easily one of the most skilled barbers around. People who come to zephyr know that when they sit in Maria’s chair, they're going to get a true break from their chaotic day, and get a haircut in which no detail is missed. She goes above and beyond in her haircuts and clients rave about it.

Though Scott is a few months new to our shop, it feels like he's been there with us since the beginning. He is a recent graduate of The London School of Barbering in Manchester, UK. He’s already a skilled barber and is LIGHT YEARS ahead of any of us when we were at his stage in our careers.

Jon is our newest addition to the Zephyr team. He finished up barber school this past summer and is learning and growing with our team. He has already exceeded expectations with his craft and were extremely excited and honored to have him on our team.
