Owner/ Senior Barber

I grew up in Southern California and came to Alabama for college at UNA where I earned my bachelors degree in finance. During my time in Florence, I started cutting hair for friends and soon began training and working for Greasy Hands Barbershop.

After a short stint at GH in Tuscaloosa, I moved to Birmingham and cut hair at another barbershop in town until I could make this dream called Zephyr Barber a reality.

I am partnered with Austin Shirey, the Owner of Greasy Hands and we have created Zephyr Barber to be a modern twist to classic barbering. At Zephyr, we are passionate about growing our skillset and offering versatility from behind the chair. Our focus is to give our clients a haircut that is tailored to them as individuals.

No matter who you are or what your background is, my goal is for you to feel welcome and seen here at Zephyr.

Scott is a graduate of The London School of Barbering in Manchester, UK. Not only is he a very talented barber, he also is truly the energy source of Zephyr. We are a boring bunch without him. His dream is the be sponsored by Diet Coke and be on a reality TV show

Jon has been cutting at Zephyr now for a couple years and is now heading up our West Homewood shop. He is actually a West Homewood native himself. He’s a talented barber and a great husband and (new) dad too!
